The Kurdistan Region Minister of Peshmerga announced that the regional government has informed the international coalition against ISIS about the attacks of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
According to the Kurdistan 24 network, Shoresh Ismail, Kurdistan Region Minister of Peshmerga, stated in a press conference that the PKK attacks on the Peshmerga forces and the Kurdistan Region are neither in their interests nor serve the present and future of Kurdistan.
He stressed the need for restraint and efforts to resolve issues and problems.
Regarding security cooperation between Erbil and Baghdad in areas where there is a security vacuum, the Peshmerga Minister said: "We will continue bilateral cooperation and progress has been made. We hope to reach a better understanding. We are confident that we will succeed in this regard."
Regarding reforms in the Ministry of Peshmerga, Ismail noted that extensive measures have been taken in regard to the reforms, stressing on the need for a high-level political agreement to take more serious measures in this regard."
